PARTICIPATION: This event is open to elementary students attending school in DeKalb County, GA. All students must participate as a member of a team, typically school-based. Registration is required for all teams. DeKalb County public schools receive priority, participate free of charge, and may bring two separate teams (up to 30 students total).

EVENTS: We have a total of 25 events for 2017, several of them brand new. All events are taken from the 6th Edition Elementary Science Olympiad manual (2010), but some events have DeKalb County modifications. This year we also feature a mathematics event based on “The 24 Game.” Teams will receive a complete set of the event description (including modifications) after registering. Here are a few of the events for this year:

Mystery Powders ~ Use your chemistry skills to identify samples
Straw Tower ~ Design, build, and test your towering creation
